In studio coastal branding session
When Nicole came to me with her vision of a coastal beachy headshot session for her marketing business I was SO excited! I am such a beach girl so getting to style and create a session like this sparked creativity in me that I had be missing! In studio sessions are where it all started for me so getting to go back into the studio and capture fun and creative images reminds me of why I started taking photos in the first place.
When starting the process of a branding session, I always start from the ground up which is learning about you and your business, gathering reference photos, creating a style guide of 2-3 outfits and then any gather any props that will be used in the photos and the back round. Creating a style guide helps my client’s envision what their photos will look!
The day of your branding I will always bring a print out guide of poses with each outfit you have picked out! This print out guide allows us to check off which poses you are wanting to re create, make sure your outfit is styled the way you want it and make sure your hair and makeup match the vibe. I like to make this process as simple and easy for my clients as photos can be stressful, but I can assure you once you get behind the camera we are going to have a blast!
Getting to work with such empowering and talented women like Nicole has been such a highlight of my career. And getting back into the studio was the creative push I needed, even in times where you’re feeling a bit down and in a creative rut this is your sign to keep going and re visit the things that make you happy!
